- (1) The Micro Bridge Companion provides over two billion random
- deals. Each of these deals has a deal number which can be used to
- recreate that deal. In Bridge 6.0, once a random deal has been played
- there is no way to get that exact deal back at a later time.
-
- (2) If you are playing North or South as declarer, the program will
- allow you to specify East or West's opening lead as defense if
- desired. This is especially useful when replaying a hand to see if
- you would have made your contract with a different opening lead.
-
- (3) Bridge Match lets you play a duplicate bridge match of 1-16
- boards against the computer or another player and calculate the
- results in IMPS, total points, or Board-A-Match.
-
- (4) In Bridge 6.0, you can ask the computer to make a play for you but
- you can't ask for a hint for what to play. Since you can't take back
- plays you must accept the play. In Micro Bridge Companion, you can
- ask for a play hint and then decide if you want to use or ignore it.
-
- (5) If you claim or concede during the play of the hand, the Micro
- Bridge Companion computer opponent will determine how many
- tricks should be given to each partnership (by playing out the rest of
- the hand in memory) and then asks you to accept or deny its offer.
-
- (6) In the Micro Bridge Companion it is extremely easy to enter
- hands. You can enter cards into any hand at the same time, and you
- don't need to enter all the cards. For example, you can enter just the
- important cards and then press the "Deal Remaining Cards" button to
- distribute the remaining cards. If you are typing in a deal from a
- newspaper, you only need to enter the first three hands and the
- computer will deal the rest.
